Cirrus sets standards

23/10/07

Miller Birch is embarking on the next stage of development of its flagship ng² business park in Nottingham.

Ng² has become a blue chip haven with Experian and Mercedes Benz joined by law firm Geldards, private bankers Coutts, HSBC and a raft of support services firms.

Buildings have won awards and praises, ranging from the sweeping arc development to Experian’s ‘blue cube’ Landmark House.

Now, Miller Birch has taken the wraps off a new speculative grade A office development – the 34,000 sq ft Cirrus building.

The new building sits behind the arc and close to the main arterial road through ng² – a route that will in future years be taken by the extended tram lines.

Miller Birch: The wraps are off ng²’s exciting new buildings, a speculative graded A office set-up.

The 34,000 sq ft of office space will be arranged over three floors, with landscaped parking outside for 105 cars. It will have floor-to-ceiling glazing with solar-control glass and intelligent lighting and cooling controls.

Cirrus overlooks a landscaped boulevard to be known as The Avenue.

The boulevard has been designed to create a pedestrian link between Cirrus and the third phase of The Triangle, six self-contained pavilion office buildings totalling 25,000 sq ft.

Real Winner: ng² Avenue – the business park has become a blue chip haven and buildings have won awards and much praise in the development’s short life.

When finished it will feature a steel pergola, seating, 84 Mountain Ash trees and around 400 metres of beech hedging (3,600 plants).

Cirrus has just been completed and that names of the first occupiers are expected to be announced shortly.

Mark Bielby of Miller Birch, said: “ng² is recognised as Nottingham’s premier business location. Cirrus, providing a total of 35,000 sq ft of high quality office space across three floors, reinforces the development’s reputation for iconic architecture.

“The building overlooks a landscaped boulevard which will be the focal point of the whole scheme and provides 105 car parking spaces.

“Only recently completed it is no surprise that we already have interest from a number of occupiers and some space is already under offer.”

Cirrus is being jointly marketed by Innes England - which has its own offices on ng² – and Capital Business.

Chris Sinclair of Innes England, said: “Miller Birch’s confidence in ng² and the Nottingham office market resulted in the development of Cirrus on a speculative basis and they are no being rewarded with high levels of interest.”

“Interest is already high and a number of new occupiers are expected to be announced shortly”, Andy Simons

Andy Simons of Capital Business added: “ng² is at the forefront of office development in Nottingham once again and following on from the unparalleled success of the business par we are delighted that a further 33,000 sq ft of prestigious space is now available at Cirrus. Current interest is already high and a number of new occupiers are expected to be announced shortly.”
